With cascading gray-green leaves, Thyme has a distinctively warm, pleasant, aromatic, and pungent flavor. The ancient Romans not only used Thyme to protect against food-born illness and meats spoiling, but also to prevent the effects of poison. Luckily today modern medicine and food safety laws replaced the ancient practices, but Thyme is a delicious addition to green beans, or grilled honey glazed salmon, eggplant, soups, chicken, and fish just to name a few.
