Southern Style BBQ Rub

Spice Talk Tip:

Generously season meat with our dry rub and let it sit 45 minutes before grilling. Also, the blend tastes delicious in brown or black beans.

DIRECTIONS

  • Peel and uniformly slice the Potatoes lengthwise so they are about 1/16″ thick.
  • Place Potatoes in a bowl of ice water as you slice. Let them stand for about 30 minutes, then drain and spread them out on paper towels to dry.
  • Pour frying oil into a dutch oven pan to a depth of 2 inches and heat over a medium-high stove top (heat to 325°F).
  • Working in batches, fry Potatoes until golden and crisp for 3 to 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer them to a paper towel-lined bowl for draining.
  • Season with Southern Style BBQ Dry Rub, to taste.
